Supreme Court and Alfalfa

Headline in my email in-box: “Supreme Court to Hear Case on Genetically Engineered Alfalfa”–Our highest court is debating alfalfa. Alfalfa?? Yup. But…it’s not as silly as it sounds. According to our brilliant British friends at Nature Biotechnology, King Chemical wants to get its privileges back and resume selling its genetically modified Roundup Ready alfalfa seeds. This is one for the Big Boys cause the verdict  may  make it easier for other genetically modified crops to stay on the market and harder to ban them. What rascals those Monsanto kids are!
